I am fleshly, sold under sin.—Rom. 7:14.

 

We see proof of Jehovah’s love for us in the way he responded to the problems that first arose within his earthly family. When Adam disobeyed his heavenly Father, he lost his place in Jehovah’s happy family, both for himself and for his descendants. (Rom. 5:12) Jehovah, however, stepped in to help. Jehovah punished Adam, but he did not leave Adam’s unborn offspring without hope. He immediately promised that obedient humans would be brought back into his family. (Gen. 3:15; Rom. 8:20, 21) Jehovah arranged for this on the basis of the ransom sacrifice of his beloved Son, Jesus. By giving his Son in our behalf, Jehovah proved how dearly he loves us. (John 3:16) He is the ideal Father. He hears our prayers and provides what we need, both materially and spiritually. He trains and supports us. He also has wonderful blessings in store for us. Jehovah never lets us down or leaves us without hope .

 To be sold under sin ,  can we see that all we are is slaves?  And yet, consider that  Jehovah uses the weak to put the strong to shame. When we step back and see the bigger picture, Jehovah is using us mere weak sinful humans to put the strong wicked angels to shame. What happened in the Garden of Eden had its start in the heavens. Jehovah cleaned up his heavenly house first and now that the heavens rejoice the same thing will happen here on the earth. The heavens have waited a lot longer than know to be cleaned up. Romans 8: 20,21 helps to see that like a loving parent, he is teaching all his creation, in heaven and on earth,  a lesson in humility  and that we are nothing without our creator.  The futility that death creates screams how much we need our heavenly father.  Once the lesson has made it’s point crystal clear, then like a loving parent, Jehovah will set us free from the punishment we’ve had to endure. Hang in there friends, the best is yet to come
